Life before Vale Tudo
Before joining VTT I’d never set foot inside a conventional gym or tried proper weight training. I was quite fit & healthy through calisthenics training. I happened taking a break from my usual training regime, when I ran into an old friend at a party who convinced me to come along for a class. Roughly 3 years on and I’ve never looked back.
My Journey
Since joining VTT I’ve progressed in my training a lot: I thought when I joined I was fit, but I had no idea. I’ve learned to listen to my body, focus on my technique and learned that I always have more to give each session, even when I’m ready to tap out. Staying consistent and putting in 100% is not something that naturally occurs. I’ve had to teach myself to maintain that.
Looking Back
Looking back at how far I’ve come, my fitness has dramatically improved. I’ve met so many awesome people and in turn made some life-long friends. As well, the attitude I had about myself, and about life in general, has shifted into a really positive space. But most importantly, my kids are witnessing their mum grow into a more healthy, focused, dedicated, and less stressed person, and it’s inspiring them to push themselves to grow too.

VTT is not only a gym but an amazing community!!! I was new to the area and joined the gym knowing nobody and one year later, I feel as though I have made so many friendships!! The trainers are amazing people who actually care about you. I appreciate how they aren’t afraid to challenge me and get me out of my comfort zone, yet in such a supportive and healthy way! Being an ex-college athlete, I feel when I’m training at VTT, I’m training like how I did in college!!! A team environment where everyone is so supportive! I wasn’t always an early bird, but now I love waking up and look forward to my 7am classes!!! I first heard about VT through my cousin Josh. I figured I'd give it a go and I have been here ever since. The best part about it is that the gym is suitable for all. Whatever ability you have, you come in and get it done. Trainers will adjust exercises according to your ability and the community is great. Everyone is there to train but most importantly have a good laugh.

I have been training at VTT for about 2 years ago. I love the variety and structure of the training. Even through peaks and troughs of fitness after returning from surgery, the classes are always challenging but achievable and safe with a strong focus on technique. All the trainers are really knowledgeable, approachable and encouraging. VTT has a carefully planned training cycle with an emphasis on setting, tracking, and achieving personal goals and in the time that I have been there I have seen so much improvement and progress in my strength, fitness and confidence. I love the vibe and community. Everyone is so friendly and loves a good laugh, until the timer starts, and everyone gives 100%. Having a community of trainers and members that encourage you and celebrate your progress is what makes you show up and push that little bit harder when you feel like you have no gas left in the tank. Why VTT? I think the question should be, why not? 😉 haha

I’ve been training at VTT for roughly 2 years now. I love the intensity of the classes and how they’re catered to all levels of fitness and the community that trains there is the best. I was looking for a gym that could get me back training in a group environment and also have a trainer to push me when I don’t push myself - and found VTT Zetland. The thing I love about VTT by far is the people I train with, I’ve made so many friends through this gym and it’s taught me to love going to the gym again. VTT has changed my life by getting me back into routine again, getting me to love the gym again, to love the process and to push my body more than I’ve known I could.

A friend of mine dragged me into VT 18 months ago and I've never looked back. I love that the training gives me structure and I have so much trust in the coaches. They know how to motivate each person individually and I always work harder at VT than I would alone. VT has given me that sense of truly belonging to a community. When I joined VTT, I had the intention to join for 6 months, then quit. That was 12 months ago. I wanted to see if I push myself further especially with strength as historically I had done more cardio. The issue being however I didn’t have the know-how. VTT provided safe training methods and structure which has ultimately lead to results - that’s why I stayed on. There is a huge sense of community (which is lead by the staff), an environment of positivity and encouragement to test, push and better yourself. In terms of activity, I enjoy the variety and structure. I highly recommend VTT to anyone of any stage of their fitness journey.

I love that VTT is all about the community. The workouts are designed for all types of fitness levels and are constantly being progressed by the trainers. The staff are very friendly and all the members are very chatty. Made me feel very comfortable. I was quickly able to be myself. I particularly love the morning sessions. Every session is different and I can honestly say I’ve never left feeling unsatisfied. VTT has given me back my identity and love for training. Not only am I getting fitter and stronger but generally mentally feel a lot better.

I chose VTT because I was local to the area and I like the style of training and flexibility with class times when working shift work. I started with the Unleash program and by the end of the challenge I found myself stronger, fitter and more motivated to workout to keep increasing my fitness level.
